The resurgence of bedbugs is causing concern in Indiana and all over the country. The bedbug is back in a big way, and unfortunately they can be found everywhere, including five star hotels and even in your very own mattress.
There's a home in Indianapolis so infested with this problem that it has become so severe that some are calling it close to an epidemic. Some pest ontrol companies believe the pests are here to stay and can and will be transferred anywhere humans are. Bedbugs are about the size of an apple seed and they are exploding across the country. Hiding in mattresses, bed sheets, couches and even luggage, they have a sole purpose.
Their purpose is that they are predators on mammals and blood feeders. Their prey includes humans, sleeping soundly while the bedbug, travelling through walls and electrical outlets, finds its prey and feeds, gorging on human blood and often leaving bite marks on their victims.
After the war, insecticides came alone and wiped out the bedbug in North America until international travel reintroduced the population, now up by some estimates as much as 400 percent. They're found in apartments, five-star hotels and everywhere in between.

How To Get Rid of Bed Bugs
We hope you are learning a lot from our continuing series on bed bugs. Today, we are going to review how to get rid of bed bugs.
If you have positively identified a bed bug infestation, you should be prepared to go to battle with the little pests. If you have a serious problem, please consider hiring a professional exterminator. If you want to tackle the problem yourself, here are some suggestions.
Inspect the bed frame, mattress, and your other furniture for signs of bed bugs and their eggs. Look for live or crawling bugs and make sure they are bed bugs before treating. Reducing clutter is a good thing to do. This will limit many hiding places for bed bugs.
The next idea for treating for bed bugs is to thoroughly clean mattresses, bed cloths, and pillows. Wash linens in hot water. The proper insecticide should then be used to treat the springs, bed frame, slats and all crevices around doors, windows, and baseboards. It may sound like a lot of work, but you have to do these things to eliminate bed bugs.
Winning the war against bed bugs is not easy. By following these tips, you will have a leg up on the enemy.
